Inspire Award Scheme
To attract talented students to science, the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India has launched a new program called INSPIRE. English words 'Innovation in Inspire'. What is the main purpose of this program to give the youth of the country the thrill of new discoveries and research in the study of science? It has to be introduced. By this, students are attracted towards science subject at an early age and the research and development activity in the field of science and technology in the country is accelerated, as a result of which there is a facility to create a large human group of expert youth. The eye-catching aspect of this program is that there are no competitive exams to identify the talented students. Our current education system is only good enough to produce energetic and intelligent students.
Inspire
In order to create a community of knowledgeable individuals and to survive in global competition, the country needs to have a large infrastructure for research and development in the field of science and technology. To realize the dream of year 2020, we have to focus on creating an integrated research infrastructure. We must prepare a large group of bright students who understand the basic principles of science. Interest Subsidy Scheme on Education Loans.
Countless words have been written about the importance of education. Education is the only valuable asset that human beings can acquire. Education is a very important tool to succeed in the contemporary world. It is important because it is used to mitigate most of the challenges in life. Knowledge gained through education opens doors to better opportunities in career development. Good education gives a secure future, through education we can find many competitive jobs.
In the last decade and a half, Gujarat has made huge strides in the industrial sector. Many new industries are being established with state and non-state investment. Accordingly, there has been an increase in the demand for students who have done professional courses in the state in the last 15 years. After class 10th and 12th, it is also necessary for the development of the state that maximum number of students get admission in various courses in the higher education sector and contribute to the development of the state. In that perspective the parents of the students have limited income and due to such limited income the parents feel confused about sending their bright children to the higher education sector especially vocational courses. Apart from tuition fee, purchase of equipment-books, students studying in higher education courses also have to spend a lot on accommodation and food when they go to a distant place for study purposes. Hence, such students who are brilliant in studies find it very difficult to pursue higher studies without financial assistance in paying fees and maintenance expenses due to the limited income of their parents. So that students have to take loan from the bank to study.
The State Government has received various proposals to provide financial assistance for the career development of bright and needy students seeking admission in higher education courses of the State. Taking into account the submissions received by the state government, the matter of providing financial assistance to the meritorious students on equal basis considering the criteria of quality and income was under the consideration of the government to give equal opportunities to the bright and needy students in getting higher education.
Those lacking an educational degree are limited to basic jobs in the service, manufacturing, and construction industries. While employees with high school education can get jobs with good benefits. Some vocational education courses after class 12 are very expensive, many jobs require at least a diploma, but most good careers require some form of higher education that requires some form of knowledge and experience in a particular field. So financially weak person cannot study further.
The Government of Gujarat has announced a scheme to provide 100% interest subsidy on education loans up to the moratorium period (academic period plus one year) to help economically weaker section students.
"Mukhya Mantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana" has been implemented from the academic year 2015-16 with the aim of providing financial assistance and other facilities on an equal basis for the career development of bright and needy students who are studying and seeking admission in courses in the higher education of the state. In addition to the “Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana” by the Government of Gujarat, if the students who are deprived of that scheme have taken loans to study in the universities of the country and abroad, the maximum of Rs. 10.00 lakh loan scheme has been implemented to get 100% interest subsidy till moratorium period (study period plus one year).
A new provision in the 2017-18 budget to assist students whose parents' annual income is Rs.6.00 lakh or less and who have secured 60% percentile or more in class 12th for the moratorium period (academic period plus one year) Administrative permission to make a provision of Rs.500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred) lakhs has also been given as a
